Blacktown Businesses take on the Digital World

Managing a small business is challenging, especially in today’s digital age. Yet with the help of the NSW Business Connect program, a digital bootcamp will become available to small business owners and entrepreneurs in Blacktown.

This is exciting news for small business owners who are struggling to engage their audience digitally. Almost 90% of Australians interact through social media and on the internet, meaning it’s easier to reach their audience online. As technology and innovation advances, small business owners are finding it hard to keep up, with many losing the confidence and lacking the knowledge to obtain the right skills and strategies for digital engagement.

The NSW Business Connect is a dedicated and personalized program that offers trusted advice to small business owners. This program promotes heavily subsidized digital bootcamps and advisories to all small businesses in metropolitan and rural regions of NSW. Appointed by the government as “digital specialists”, NetStripes are the experts who run these bootcamps, with a commitment to assist small businesses in attaining the right digital tools, strategies and confidence in preparing their business for success.

This digital bootcamp will be held on Tuesday 23rd and Wednesday 24th of October. Essential topics covered include Small Business Digital Readiness, Growth Hacking for Small Business and Lean start-up. If you’re a small business owner and ready to take your digital skills up a notch (or many), don’t miss this opportunity!

Christmas Party December 5, 2018

Celebrate With BBN

Blacktown businesses celebrate Christmas on December 5, 2018 at the Blacktown Workers Club.

After a busy year networking with each other, it's time to celebrate and get to know your fellow business people socially.

Having more than 17 years under our belt and having deservedly earned the title as the "Most Successful Networking Organisation in the Greater Blacktown Area", it's the right time to relax and celebrate.

This meeting traditionally does not have a sponsor and so attendees will pay an entry fee of $10-00 per person to join the celebrations. This means there is no business keynote speaker, just a bunch of fun loving people.

Our emcee for the evening is BBN Guiding Star, Robyn Atkins.

Joe Kowalewski – The Best Marketing Tool Ever Invented

On October 3, 2018, come and see this dynamic speaker, Joe Kowalewski

Our guest sponsor for October is Local Area Marketing, a full-service Western Sydney based agency helping local businesses to cost effectively reach their goals. Guest speaker is the agency’s Chief Marketing Officer, Joe Kowalewski.

Joe began his career as a journalist with News Corp (The Australian) and ‘evolved’ through careers in print media, political public relations, corporate and international marketing and events. He is the co-founder of the Multicultural Marketing Awards and co-author of a marketing manual for SMEs.

He believes that business marketing is always one of the biggest dilemmas for business owners. “What should I do? How do I do it? Will it work for me? Can I afford it?” These are questions Joe constantly deals with.

Ironically, part of the answer is with the marketing solution he is most passionate about, and it’s free! He calls it ‘The Best Marketing Tool Ever Invented’ and has developed it with businesses of all sizes, local government and politicians over more than two decades – so it is a tried and tested formula.

Will the work for you? Find out by attending BBN’s October meeting on October 3, 2018.

Easy House Solutions sponsors June

Our June Blacktown Business Network event is being sponsored by Easy House Solutions Australia.

Easyhousesolutions Logo Final

A fast growing business in the property and investment market being led by David Refalo - a property investor for over 15 years. He is a licensed real estate agent and a licensed mortgage broker.

Easy House Solutions specialises in helping property buyers & sellers that are having a hard time reading their property goals.

Sometimes people find the system just isn't working for them.

Buyers may be struggling to get into the property market because they find they just don't meet the criteria. They may be a little short on deposit or the lenders policies may not allow them to obtain a mortgage at this stage.

Sellers may find that their property is just not selling & the only solution their agent may be offering is to drop the price. Sometimes this just isn't possible as the property may have a large mortgage & the bank won't allow the sale to go through. In other cases dropping the price just won't achieve the result the sellers are after. Sometimes the property may be in need of a makeover to attract buyers & sellers just don't have the resources to make this happen.

As David says, "At Easy House Solutions Australia we don't just sell properties. We come up with a solution to meet an individual's needs."

After all, everybody is different - so it makes sense to have a strategy that works for you!
